Greek and Swiss Animal Help (GASAH) was founded on 2nd October 2005 and is an animal welfare organisation based in Domat-Ems, officially registered both in Switzerland and in Kos, Greece. Primarily we are involved with relieving animal suffering on the island of Kos, Greece, through sterilisation and education.
The stray dogs and cats on Kos are regularly poisoned, run over and simply thrown out onto the streets. The majority of these animals are not sterilised and therefore multiply without control. This situation is becoming worse as the economy falls into further decline.
We need YOUR help to help them. The suffering of the stray animals on Kos is enormous and every little bit helps: by donating a few $$ which we urgently need in order to cover veterinary costs for sterilizations, immunisation / parasite control, and vital, often life-saving, operations. We cannot do it without your help!
Despite the many years in animal welfare on Kos island, GASAH still remains appalled by cases of neglect and cruelty. This is exactly why GASAH has an animal centre on Kos, because our work is so desperately needed. To all of you out there, our wonderful supporters old and new, please never stop donating, no matter how small the amount, for we need to keep on keeping on! For the sake of the animals.
