On Sept. 11, 2014, members of Emergency Services, Border Officials and Military Personnel from the US & Canada will gather at Peace Arch. Help us raise money to bring 5 first responders who were at Ground Zero to the event, as well as help Honour House.

The Ride

On September 11, 2014, members of Emergency Services, Border Officials, and Military Personnel from the United States and Canada, and the public, will ride on motorcycles and in emergency vehicles to the Peace Arch Border Crossing to take part in the 13th annual
9-11 Memorial Ride & Service to honor those brave souls that lost their lives in the horrific attacks in 2001.

Five first responders who were at Ground Zero on September 11, 2001 have been invited to attend the ride. This crowdfunding campaign will help pay for their travel costs.

Memorial Service

The service at Peace Arch includes a ceremonial unit march-In, followed by speakers from all levels of governments and Emergency Services. Following the Service, we will be escorted to Peace Arch Park for a social gathering, refreshments, and reflections. This is a great opportunity to meet, share stories, and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice on the fateful day.

Honour House

Proceeds from the event itself benefit Honour House Society, a refuge, a home away from home for Canadian Forces personnel, emergency services personnel and their families to stay, completely free of charge, while they are receiving medical care and treatment in the Metro Vancouver area. Any extra money raised by this FundAid campaign will be donated to Honour House.

Our thanks to the Royal City Record forthis story about the event.
