24 Hours in the Water for RNR Cyprus
Service Personnel of the Cyprus Joint Communications Unit (CJCU) along with a couple of family memebers, are coming together to take on an extraordinary endurance challenge: a continuous 24‑hour swimathon against 5 other teams in the Poseidon Challenge at Akrotiri Pool. Working as a relay team, the swimmers will keep moving through day and night, pushing physical and mental limits. Raising vital funds for the RnR Cyprus charity that supports dogs in crisis across the island. This event is more than a test of stamina, it’s a demonstration of teamwork, discipline, and commitment. Each swimmer will contribute multiple shifts in the water, ensuring the relay never stops until the full 24 hours are complete. Supporters will be able to follow the team’s progress, cheer them on, and donate to help RnR Cyprus continue its essential work in providing shelter, food and forever homes for many dogs. The Poseidon Challenge is a Swimathon that aims to inspire, unite, and make a meaningful impact one stroke at a time. |  |
 | Rescue and Rehome Cyprus (RnR Cyprus) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the welfare of dogs in need across Cyprus. Since 2015, they have worked to provide shelter, food, care, and support to dogs facing unsafe and unstable conditions, while also striving to secure loving forever homes for them.
Their mission is focused on addressing the wider dog
crisis on the island and helping to reduce the number of
dogs living on the streets, in pounds, and in shelters.
