• Masjid Al'Arqam to offer around 1,000 -1,200 sujjood spots under one roof – one of the biggest praying halls in Canberra
• Worship place is available instantly as the project cost is paid – no waiting period for building/construction. Building is ready to move-in.
• Commercial significance attached with this project – provision up to 7-8 shops and a very welcome opportunity for building up an Islamic marketplace.
• Spread network of Musallahs and Masjids across Canberra so that all Muslims can have an easy and close access to mosque and also young generation stays connected.
• Establish cordial and brotherly relationships will all Canberra masjids and Muslim community.

Why Belconnen District (Canberra) requires its own mosque?

• No masjid nearby Masjid Al’Arqam site in Belconnen and nearby suburbs within the up to 20-25 minutes vicinity.
• One of the biggest districts with 25 suburbs in Belconnen district – requires its own masjid.
• Canberra’s both Universities are nearby and lot of the on campus and off-campus students require a mosque to pray and keep in touch with local Muslim community.
• High people movement around Masjid Al’Alrqam's site as the shopping mall is at walking distance.
• Big Commonwealth Departments nearby the site at a walking distance – could facilitate the need of Muslims working at these places.
• Masjid Al’Arqam will cater the need for some of the significant religious gatherings – Ramadan and Eid gatherings for Belconnen and adjoining suburbs. Currently the community has to travel far for such requirements.

Programs and Educational plans -

• Expand the Hifz program for kids to develop it into a dedicated 2-3 years Hifz completion.
• Provide adult Quran and Tajweed learning opportunities and establish a formal registered program facilitated by qualified teachers.
• Setup a multilevel Quran learning program for sisters – run by sisters being qualified teachers.
• Develop the Madrasah progressively to a fulltime Darul-uloom replicating other successful models in Australia like: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth.
• Regular educational programs by learned scholars – Australia wide and international guest speakers.
• Provide opportunities to learn Fiqh with details about different Islamic jurisprudence.
• Programs/sessions on routine basis with subject matter experts like Muftis, scholars, Qaris, Hufaz and other Mashaikh.

Social and Community services:

• Masjid Al’Arqam will work closely with Canberra youth and aim to remind the younger generation about the values of Islam and establish a link with masjid, Quran and Sunnah.
• Establish provision of an all sisters managed first fitness club facility in Canberra.
• Engage youth/adults in weekend catchup facility and emphasize to our younger generation the importance of establishing connection with mosque.
• Kids behavioural interactive workshops on regular basis.
• Provide assistance to university students with educational tips.
• Help muslim community, new migrants, refugees looking for accommodation and other basic needs.
