Bryan Dilworth made bringing people together his life’s work. From the punk shows he’d book and play as a teenager on up to booking national tours at Philly’s largest venues, his mark was made early on as a concert promoter. But that was just half of it — that was his day job. Bryan’s life outside of that was just as active, bringing people together for big meals, excursions, softball games, you name it. Ultimately, it was no surprise that Bryan would find a second calling in philanthropy.
Throughout his life, Bryan supported a wide range of non-profits, from arts organizations to raising money for ailing schools. But in Make The World Better, Bryan found something that put so much of what he loved together under one umbrella: athletics, arts, music, and community. Starting out by helping to organize the annual MTWB concerts that have become a cornerstone of our fundraising, Bryan would eventually become a beloved member of the board, where he was a font, as always, of ideas, connections, and enthusiasm. And as he saw it, MTWB’s work was only just beginning.
On March 9, 2020, Bryan’s sudden passing was a shock to people all over the city of Philadelphia and beyond, and tributes poured in from so many folks whom Bryan had given their start or a valuable assist. MTWB is proud to call ourselves among that group and we are honored by his family to ask for your contribution to the Bryan Dilworth Memorial Fund.
Working in close consult with Bryan's family, funds raised in honor of Bryan will go to support MTWB's work and mission.
