We see a future where the family and friends of individuals with special needs can play, prosper, and grow; Where they will find solace in a population of like-minded people who believe that our gifted friends have a place in a larger community.
We are "The Cambridge Program for Individuals with Special Needs" and we support the special needs community by putting the individual first and not the disability. We believe that the disability doesn't define the person, but that they are part of something larger, and that they can experience the development of their social, physical and mental capabilities. We believe in opportunity, collaboration, activity, challenge, and achievement.
About the Cambridge Program for Individuals with Special Needs
Our program serves 80+ individuals, ranging from age 8 to 65. A handful of unique services provided are:
- all day Saturday recreational programs
- fitness classes
- after school tutoring and resume development
- job and life skill coaching
- team field trips
- Special Olympic training in six athletic categories
- participation in annual theatre production
