Recently Dog4U was asked to take a very sweet female beagle. She was checked by a vet in Georgia and was given a clean bill of health prior to coming to Dog4U. Maddie entered her foster home on a Sunday night and Monday morning, an urgent call was made to the director of Dog4U. Sweet Maddie was bleeding from her rectum. An initial exam by the vet indicated that her anal glands were severely infected and she also needed a dental cleaning and extractions. Home she went with antibiotics to prepare her for a much needed dental and the infection in her anal glands. Maddie's condition, however, did not improve. In fact, it worsened and she was referred to CVETS for consultation and possible surgery. It was determined that Maddie did indeed need a colonoscopy and surgery as she had polyps in her colon. Maddie's condition was deemed bad enough to warrant surgery the same day. Maddie continues to be watched to ensure she heals as hoped so that she can move on to have her dental and then find her forever family. Please consider donating to help cover Maddie's medical costs.
