MAR rescues homeless and unwanted dogs from the streets & shelters. Many are puppies or pregnant mamas. In November we rescued 18 puppies that were living under an abandoned house in rural Mississippi, along with many others. We use one to two 40 lb bags of dog food every day, so the monthly cost a lot
Due to an unforeseen expense we are very low on funds. We are always low on funds but this month we are in the red big time
This is a direct result of an adopter that mis-represented their home situation. When we found out true situation, the two puppies were already on their way to them. So the puppies came back to the rescue but we had already paid the vet costs and transport fees associated with travel. And the adopter, nice man that he is (cough, cough) had the fees reversed on his credit card and refuses to cover the charges, so we are out $400-$500 on this adoption.
This adopter lives in Connecticut and owns a business. Anyone that does business with this family should be prepared. Message us if you would like more info. No one this dishonest should get away with it
Who knowingly and deliberately takes money away from rescue dogs? During the holidays? Shame on him & his wife!!
