Nancy Elizabeth Earl, 56, died at home Thursday, April 9, 2015, with her family following a prolonged illness.
She was born in Lake Charles, LA February 19, 1959 to Samuel
George Burke III and Elizabeth Antoinette Bertrand. Nancy spent most
of her childhood in Vinton, LA but eventually moved to Bristow, OK and
graduated from Bristow High School. After graduating high school Nancy
settled down to start a family. Later on in life she obtained a B.A.
from McNeese State University.
Nancy loved to sing, cook and garden, but her greatest passion
in life was taking care of others. She was a caregiver most of her
life. She dedicated herself to others, including her mother, before
she passed away. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and
close friends, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, William Earl of Vinton, LA;
children, Erinne Lemmon of Lake Charles, LA, Bradley Lemmon of Vinton,
LA, Lacie Lemmon of Lake Charles, LA and Garett Lemmon of Vinton, LA;
her parents Samuel George Burke III and Olive Leah Burke of Sapulpa,
OK; Sisters, Christine Lemmon of Bristow, OK and Susan Bourne-Wooden
of Hixson, TN; brothers, Barry Burke of Tulsa, OK, Greg Burke of
Mustang, OK and Samuel George Burke IV of Carlyss, LA.; six
grandchildren and one great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Antoinette Plummer and step father Clifford Dale Plummer.
