NCS (National Citizenship Service) is a program run by the Government aimed at 15-17 year olds. It serves to help young adults gain experience and useful skills for the years to come.

NCS takes place over a four week period. The first week we spent camping at High Adventure in Cheshire. During this week we took part in various team building activities in our groups.

The second week took place at Nottingham University where we again sat with our groups whilst attending lectures on Interview techniques and other various lectures that would benefit us in the future. In one of these lectures we worked with a representative from Coca Cola on product design and advertisement. We also worked with the charity When You Wish Upon A Star.

The next two weeks we will spend planning, fundraising and then painting the Horncastle Youth Centre. Though we have planned several fundraising ideas our hope is that through this page we will be able to raise even more, and do the best we can with all the equipment and decorations we require.

For our social action project we are trying to raise money in order to decorate our local youth centre. This money would go towards paint and equipment needed for the decoration. Any extra money will be used to donate items the youth centre would benefit from.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and we hope you agree with our goal and decide to help support our plan.
