In Sacramento, the Farm to Fork Capital of America, there are people without access to fresh produce. Why is it easier to buy a bottle of Bourbon than a stalk of broccoli or blueberries? There are neighborhoods right here in Sacramento like Alkali Flats, South Sac, and North Highlands where there are liquor stores and fast food joints as far as the eye can see…but no groceries stores in sight!

Farm2Family is here to change that. Our mission is to eliminate waste ad increase access to fresh affordable produce specifically within food deserts.
The Farm2Family produce truck will pick up excess produce from farms or farmer’s markets and sell them at or below market rate at locations within the community. Customers can follow us on Twitter for up to date news, and upcoming times and locations.

We are here hammering out the details at Sacramento Startup Weekend and people are depending on you. We are developing a website to connect Farmers and Families in the area.

We need your support to fund the truck and make our non-profit a reality. Help fight hunger and childhood obesity with your pledge.
