The only option to survive the dark in these families is the use of open flame kerosone lanterns (paraffin lamps.)

The homemade paraffin lamps are not only expensive to poor families that cannot afford daily meals but also pose health hazards in terms of accidental fires which have left many dead or with permanent scars of fire burns.

The home made paraffin lamps also emit thick, toxic smoke which causes eye strains and chest infections.

We are approaching Ramadan. Lets provide solar lights so that they can read Quran and also have their suhoor in light at night.
