Rescue House Luang Prabang is an association founded in 2018 based in Switzerland but operating in Luang Prabang, Laos. The main goal is to help animals in need whether they are sick, injured, mistreated, abandoned or orphaned. In 3 years, I have been able to help and rescue over 200 animals. The refuge currently houses 60 cats and kittens and 7 dogs.
Due to the current situation in the world, I no longer receive enough donations to continue my project in Luang Prabang. I'm afraid I will have to close the shelter unless I get additional donations and it breaks my heart because there is a lot of work here and too many animals are suffering. My priority at the moment is to feed and keep the animals in the shelter in good health.
Donations are rare, I no longer have a volunteer to help me in my daily life and veterinarians no longer come because they are understaffed.
I need your help so that I can continue to help these animals!

Goals for November-December 2020
- Collect donations to cover the costs of sterilizations / castrations when Dr.Khamdeng comes in December.
- Collect donations to cover the cost of cat vaccinations.
- Collect donations to pay the vet's bill in Vientiane (capital).
- Collect donations to pay the pet-shop bill.

In Luang Prabang, there are no competent veterinarians. Cats reproduce very quickly and there is an overpopulation of stray cats. Rescue House currently takes care of about 60 cats and kittens of which 10 females and 6 males need to be neutered.
Cost of sterilization: 60$/cat = 600$
Cost of castration: 40$/cat = 240$
TOTAL = 840$
Cat vaccinations
In Luang Prabang, cat vaccines (combined vaccination against rhinotracheitis, calicivirosis, panleukopenia and chlamydia psittaci) cannot be found and I have to order them from Vientiane (the capital). I have to vaccinate all 60 cats and Dr. Khamdeng would be very glad to bring them to me in November.
Cost for 1 vaccine 10$ : 10$/cat = 600$

Veterinary clinic in Vientiane
The veterinary clinic in Vientiane, that I have collaborated with since the beginning, is very competent and offers quality services. They have all the necessary equipment and take care of animals as if they were their own. Unfortunately, their cost is often high depending on the case. For the last two years I had to take many animals to them, some needing serious and long-term treatments and I still have a large bill due.

Animal store in Luang Prabang
The store where I get cat and dog food, cat litter and all the material related to animals gives me supplies on credit. Normally, I pay the bills regularly, but for the past few months, donations are much less frequent and the outstanding amount keeps increasing.
