We are the Parent Teacher and Student Organization (PTSO) of Sunset Lake Elementary School in Vicksburg, MI. The Walkathon is our only Fundraiser of the year. This year we are raising money to upgrade security in our school, purchase a new electronic marquee for the front of our school, and make much needed improvements to our playground.
In addition to that, we use the funds to maintain support of teacher start-up funds, the purchase of technology for our classrooms, Physical Education Equipment, over 13 events throughout the year, Science carts, Ready Gen Program, Battle of the Books, Girls on the Run, School Assemblies, 5th Grade Ski Trip, Field Trips, The Leader in Me, Popcorn Days (once per month we serve popcorn to every student for free), Library Summer Reading Program, March is Reading Month, 6th Grade Camp, and any other needs or activities that occur during the school year.
