Save Kris’ Dogs: Animal Advocate Kris Peterson-Brock supported dogs across the nation by generously sponsoring their rescue efforts and supporting many rescue groups and shelters. Kris’ sudden death has left her own six dogs in need of rescue; Dog4u had been discussing taking in four of the dogs with Kris just days before she passed away. Now all six dogs face being euthanized on November 9th in Texas. In Kris’ honor memory, and to fulfill our commitment to the original four dogs plus the remaining two, we are undertaking a major rescue effort. These dogs will make a journey of over 1,000 miles to go from Texas to our South Carolina foster homes. From there they will eventually go north to Massachusetts to find their forever homes through our rescue partners. Initial vetting needs to be done in Texas and due to time constraints (their euthanasia is scheduled for the 9th) the rest will have to be finished in South Carolina. This fundrazr has been set up to cover transport from Texas to South Carolina and full vetting: blood work and heartworm treatment for the over weight heartworm positive dog (who is over 70 pounds), spay surgeries for the dogs that need to be spayed, vaccines and boosters, heartworm tests, fecal checks, health certificates for transport from Texas to South Carolina and again from South Carolina to Massachusetts, microchips, heartworm and flea and tick preventative, food etc. Several things will need to be repeated for the new health certificates when the time comes (heartworm test, fecal checks, exams).  We are picking up the pieces of a tragic situation and we need your help to make it happen.
