Rigby was rescued from Carson Shelter in CA back in November. Since his rescue, he has been to the vets multiple times because he has been suffering from several conditions including a severe case of demodex, a staph infection, and an upper respiratory infection. He has had the BEST medical care and love in his medical foster home, but for some reason, we have not been able to find the underlying cause of what is causing his hair to fall out and his reoccurring infection to return repeatedly.

This weekend, we brought in the big guns and the skin specialist recommended skin biopsies and a full blood panel workup. He was put under anesthesia, and he is doing great since then, snuggling close to foster mommy. As soon as we get the test results, we will finally have some answers about how we can help Mr. Rigglesworth.

Rigby's existing medical bills to date were over $400 and yesterday's visit tacked on another $439.00. Rescues like Rigby's are only possible because of the donations we receive. These make it possible for us to give our dogs the best medical care they can possibly receive. Rigby loves life, even with his pesky skin situation, and he loves to run and play with his fur siblings every single day! He is also a sweet little snuggler! His favorite is to snuggle under the covers in bed after breakfast with his foster daddy. Rigby is gentle with dogs and humans of all shapes and sizes. He is going to be the best dog to his forever family, once he is healthy enough to start looking for them!
