Ingrid’s Haven has been saving cats for more than 30 years.
But there’s something many people don’t realise…
We are a private shelter. We receive no government funding.
At any given time, we have 100–150 cats at the Haven relying on us for absolutely everything.
Every single day we open the doors, there are bills waiting.

💊 Medication & parasite treatment
🦷 Dentals
💉 Vaccinations, microchips & desexing
🧼 Cleaning and disinfecting supplies
💡 Electricity and utilities
🔧 Repairs and maintenance
🧺 Washing. Endless washing.
…and all the boring little expenses nobody sees that keep a
shelter running.
There is no magical pot of rescue money.
When a cat needs a dental, we find the money.
When a senior needs blood tests, we find the money.
When 100–150 cats need feeding every single day, we feed them.
When the litter runs out, we buy more.
When something breaks, it needs replacing.
When adoptions are slow, the bills don’t slow down with them.
And when a cat is overlooked for months — or even years — we continue feeding them, cleaning their enclosure, providing veterinary care and giving them a safe place to live for however long it takes.

Not fancy offices.
Not profits.
It keeps food in bowls.
It keeps litter in trays.
It keeps medication in the cupboard.
It gets painful teeth removed.
It desexes, vaccinates and microchips cats.
It keeps the washing machines running and the lights on.

This fundraiser will remain permanently open so there is always somewhere you can contribute when you have a few dollars to spare.
