Oh happy day!!! We have been called by The Lord to travel around America and share our testimonies. To share His truth and His gospel to those who are now where we once were, walking lost and in need of a savior.
A little bit about us:
We were the kind of “believers” who claimed to believe, even believed we believed, but did not LIVE like we believed. We claimed to believe in God, but we didn’t know Him. We were walking blindly through the world, and living for the world. In our worldly ways, we would sin and then try to excuse it. We didn’t realize we were walking away from the God we claimed to know… until He showed us!
When God opened our eyes, it was the most beautiful experience of our lives. We began to attend church and seek God in everything. It was a learning process, for sure. Breaking all of the worldly habits we’d always known was not easy, but God never promised easy. He promised possible. For all things are possible through Jesus Christ, who gives us strength.
Through our journey, we felt like God was calling us to something. What that something was, we weren’t sure yet, but we knew through our teachings that He would reveal it to us in His time. His time, not ours. His will, not ours.
Finally the day came! As I sat on my couch, playing a card game on my phone and winding down to get ready for bed, I suddenly found myself dreaming… but I was wide awake!
God showed me His purpose for our lives. He told me we were to go out, go everywhere, and testify to our nation. Testify of our troubled lives, of our pain, our traumas, and our wrong doings, and then tell them how Jesus turned it all around! He showed me a vision of us in a travel trailer. My husband was preaching the gospel as I encouraged those listening to pray and seek God. It was beautiful! In that moment, I knew that’s what he wanted for us. But how?
We are not well off, financially. We live in a small and very humble home and at that moment, we didn’t even have electricity. Our bill was so high from the house having no insulation that we couldn’t pay it and it was disconnected. Most months we struggle to even pay rent. I asked God how we would purchase a truck and travel trailer and gas and food and all of the other things we’d need to make this happen. God answered, “For what I have asked of you, I will provide for!”
So I have waited with patience and excitement to see how God was gonna pull this off. Yesterday I saw an ad for a travel trailer for sale. It won’t be available until January 2-4. “That gives you the time you need,” I heard Him say. Then I woke up this morning with the idea to raise the funds. I knew I had to write this, but I didn’t know what to say. God guided me and before I knew it I was here where you’re reading right now.
The trailer we found isn’t fancy, but we don’t seek fancy, only durable. It has good tires and a strong structure. That’s all we need. The cost is $5,500, although I’m hoping to be able to negotiate that a little if necessary. God will deal with that, too. Then we have to get a truck to pull it as my 2010 Mazda 3 won’t get the job done. We are selling everything we own, but that’s not much. We really need your help and are calling upon you. If God puts it on your heart, please help us reach our goal!
We will be using our little fresh squeezed lemonade stand to continue to fund the ministry and also to invite people to hear Gods word. In the cold months we will sell hot cocoa, coffee, and hot apple cider.
