We would like you to share in our ministry and blessings as we go and serve in Mae Sot, Thailand. We are in need of Prayer Warriors and Financial backers. It is our hears desire to Shine the Light of Jesus in Thailand.
Jamie and I went on a short missions trip in October of 2011. Our hearts broke for the spiritually lost and hurting there. During that trip God called us to serve in Thailand long term. We came home started schooling and prepared our boys for living in another country. We will be flying out Novermber 4, 2015.
Once there, Jamie, CJ and I will be teaching English as a second language as a means to help suppport our family. It will also be a wondeful way reach the youth with the love of Jesus. English classes will involve classroom time, parties and outreaches.
Jamie and I will also be teaching at a Bible Training Center, there we will be teaching, training and equipping young adults from the local Hill Tribes, in Bible and Evangelism. There is a great need for teachers to train these young adults, so that they can return home to spread the gospel.
I will also be teaching the girls how to sew at a Refugee school. There are many needs at the school and one of them is giving the young girls a means to support themselves. Without that the girls can easily become victims.
Sex trafficking is a very large issue in Thailand. To help combat this, we will also be helping a safe house for girls. Protecting them from traffickers and teaching them a means of support.
Our boys will have a very active part in the ministry as well. They will be assisting in English classes with puppetry and interactive help. They will be participating with all the outreaches and parties. They will also have a great time building friendships. The boys have inherited our gift for service and are a very large part of all we do.
In all that we plan to do in Thailand. Our main goal is and always will be to share Jesus. In a country that is 95% Buddhist, with only about 1% Christians. There is a great need to share the Light of Jesus.
We will be living in a couple of small rooms once there, but with the goal of finding a slightly larger place close to the English Center. We need to raise funds for airfare to Thailand and Huston for Visas, in country travel expenses, food and atleast 3 months living (rent, food, travel, toiletries, utilities, etc.) Once there and settled we will be able to provide a small income teaching.
With all that I have already listed, my prayer is that you can see that it is our hearts desire to share the Light of Jesus in a country that is shadowed in darkness.
