Hello, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about REVolutions Dance Inc. Our administration and educators are committed to the idea that creativity and mindfulness is the ideal equation for students to discover themselves and provides the best conduit for connecting to the world around them. This philosophy has moved us beyond just a dance class for children with and without disabilities, into creating a variety of meaningful, educational and socially developmental experiences for our students. Some of these experiences include music and Yoga classes and nationally accomplished guest artists workshops in dance and theater.
In addition to our Classes for children, we have also created a professional dance company comprised of dancers with and without disabilities. Through the REVolutions Dance company we reach out to many adults with disabilities, and expose them to the opportunity to either become professional performer or simply to take our weekly dance class as form of social and creative outlet. This experience is often life changing for someone struggling with their new disability or who has lived a lifetime with the misconception that they cannot do all of the things that other folks can do.
We our seeing these experiences change the lives and broaden the perspectives of children and adults with and without disabilities. Providing such opportunities to the community involves a great deal of effort and volunteerism on behalf of our instructors. It also involves and bit of a financial burden to which we are asking for support from any of you who also believe as we do, that movement, creativity and social inclusion are strong contributors to personal growth and enhanced relationships.
