Displaced Families in America

I am looking to raise funds to provide safe temporary housing for displaced families.

The photo's above are indicative of the types of homes that we intend to use to provide housing for displaced families. These homes are of modular construction and can be shipped and set up in days, furnished and ready for occupancy.

In the United states, there are approximately 260,000 families with minor children experiencing homelessness on any given night. This represents about 35% of the total population.

More than 80% of homeless families are headed by single women, typicaly mothers with 2 or more children. They need safe housing for their children and we can do that with these individual units.

Family homelessness has increased approximately 40% per year in the US and with the shortage of affordable housing, it could get worse.

It is our goal to build a strong and influential organization to bring awareness to this critical situation and do something about it.

We would work with other homeless providers such as the Road Home Foundation to provide temporary housing for an intial period of 3 to 4 months to allow the individuals to get back on their feet. All adult occupants will be screend prior to beign allowed in the homes. They, then would pay rent to help offset upkeep or move to a different location.

A small portion of the initial money we are raising will be used for organizational costs to set up a 501 C-3 Not for Profit Organization so we can raise funds from both Government Grants and Corporations Nationwide. No salaries will be paid out of these funds.  All organization efforts are volunteered and these intial donations are not tax free.

We are looking for supporters in this cause who will contribute not only money but guidence, suggestions and direction on how we grow.

We are looking for up to $25,000 on this first round to help launch this program and buy equipment needed to handle these units in storage.

If we were able to raise $1,000,000 or more with this offering we could start with 6 to 8 homes immediately.

Children need a safe place to grow up, we hope you can find it in your hearts to donate what you can so we can launch this program and take it nationwide. Any amount helps...
