Island Media Arts Cooperative (IMAC) is the cornerstone of the independent film and video community on Prince Edward Island . As of February 1st, IMAC is officially FilmPEI . The name change reflects the growing role of FilmPEI, to support and sustain initiatives that stimulate artistic expression through the media arts, and to build a vibrant film industry on the island. The name change is only the beginning.
FilmPEI is moving into a new home and we hope you will join us in building it.
The new space will include a production studio, editing suites, an event space and new programming for filmmakers. It will be the creative hub of PEI’s film community: a place to support and encourage filmmakers at all levels, and a space to inspire excellence in film, video and new media projects. We are also planning a new online home in the form of a new website that can better support filmmakers and filmmaking on the island.
