Mary Ruth Alred Follett hasn't added a story.

The 30 for 30 Campaign celebrates Blue Ridge Arts Council and our thirty years of service in building community through the arts. We are looking for 1,000 friends to donate $30 a piece- for a goal of $30,000!

The past thirty years have been made possible by you -  individual members, businesses, civic organizations, local and state grant funding, donors and contributors, artists and musicians, and lovers of the arts. We have set our sights on making the next thirty years as productive as the past, and have set a goal of raising $30,000 in recognition of 30 years in the community. The funds raised will be used in three ways: first, we have an immediate short-term need to raise funds to offset cuts in grant funding and lower than anticipated revenues for our fiscal year ending June 30, 2017; second, we have several projects we would like to undertake during the next year, including gallery renovations, such as painting, new chairs and tables for events and recitals, and development of a new festival for the arts; and third, to ensure that we will be able to continue to joyfully serve this community through the arts in their many and varied forms, cultural heritage, and arts education avenues. If 1,000 people donate only $30 a piece- the goal will be met!

The mission of the Blue RIdge Arts Council (BRAC) is to provide a broad base of support for the visual and performing arts, in all segments of the community, by increasing by increasing awareness, interest, knowledge and participation. Founded in 1987, Blue Ridge Arts Council is celebrating 30 years of service to the community.

What does the Blue Ridge Arts Council do?

Summer Outdoor Concert Series

A twelve-week summer outdoor music and entertainment series at the Town Gazebo, highlighting a mix of music types, utilizing artists from the region and the eastern United States. The concerts are free and open to the public, and generally, attract audiences of 300 to 600. This series is sponsored through a partnership with the Town of Front Royal, the County of Warren, and the Virginia Commission for the Arts

Gallery Art Exhibits

A nine exhibit per year program showcasing a variety of regional and national artists,  including new and emerging artists, and a show each art celebrating Youth Art Month and highlighting the work of student artists grades K-12, in our gallery at 305 East Main Street. The council also coordinates showings in the following satellite galleries: Warren County  Courthouse (2nd floor) and the Warren County Community Center.

Community Outreach Programs

A variety of entertainment programs offered throughout the year to increase awareness and enjoyment in the arts presented in a variety of performance formats.  Programs include community concerts, youth recitals in voice, piano and guitar, and seasonal performance offerings. The council is also active in many community organizations and helps in the production of many community events.

Arts Education Enrichment

Provide input to the local public school system and work to advise on a variety of arts disciplines and resources for bringing professional experiences into the public schools, servicing 5,100 students in grades K through 12.

Continuing learning for adult and youth population is provided through a series of seminars, workshops, and classes in the visual and literary art areas.  We have ongoing class offerings for youth and adults in visual and performing arts, including dance, piano, and voice, utilizing the gallery space a minimum of 4 nights per week.

Please donate $30 or more today to show your appreciation for all that BRAC does in the Front Royal/ Warren County community and to ensure the arts for years to come!
