Hello and thank you for your interest in supporting Jones Community Solutions. We are Independent Certified Peer Counselors offering Peer Support to King County, Washington and beyond. Being a Community Peer Support Provider means we provide and/or are involved in a myriad of social services throughout the week. We assist individuals, families and the organizations and services that support them. We are especially concerned with homelessness, mental health, re-entry, family reunification and community building.
Our goal is to provide free-to-the-community services, events and programming and we need your help to do it. We believe providing a "free environment" builds community and gives everyone an opportunity to get involved.
We spend our days doing the following types of things:
Well-checks with community members/families and community organizations
Volunteering (Hillman City Collaboratory, Food banks, Shelters and other organizations are where we spend our volunteer time - feel free to ask what we're doing this week)
Hosting seminars (every Thursday @ the Collab from 10am - 12pm)
Hosting workshops (last workshop was 5 weeks on Nutrition & Homelessness)
Pursuing continued education (Just attended Peer Conference 2017 in Aug)
Donation collection and drop off for individuals and organizations ( clothing and toilet paper is what we're working with now - back to school drive, hygiene drive & free Thanksgiving community dinner are all coming soon)
One-on-one Peer Support ( We work with community members and organizations to achieve specific goals and make community connections)
These are just a few of the things we do. We always do what we can, when we can. We will do so much more with a consistent flow of cash. We are a community driven business and need the continued support of all of you to operate successfully.
Our current weekly goal is $500. We will be able to pay bills & transportation and rent space to host more events.
