Hi, I’m Pastor Phil at Cornerstone Christian Church of Long Island and WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We are an independent Reformed Evangelical Church teaching and preaching the Gospel of Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ in a world of chaos and confusion. We seek to meet the deepest spiritual needs and well being of the community. The church was established in 2004 and was thriving for almost a decade.

However, three years ago, the founding pastor Richard Goswiller retired and almost half of the congregation left the church cutting our number to just over thirty when Pastor Dave Corson took over as pastor.  

In October of 2015, due to discontentment of some of the folks, he resigned.  When he left, we again lost another dozen people who were disheartened with his departure.  I was then called by the congregation and installed as pastor to shepherd and lead those remaining.

Because of our small numbers, I agreed to minister without taking a salary or remuneration of any kind.  My passion is to do what the Lord has called me to do and feed the folks the truth as it is in Jesus, according to the Holy Scriptures, so that they might live out the Gospel of Grace in their lives.

However, at this point in time we have depleted our reserves and are no longer able to meet our operating expenses.  In order to keep our church doors open, we need to bring in $4000 per month just to pay for our rent, utilities and insurance, and to cover the costs of having a presence on social media where we are beginning to see some interest by folks in what our church has to offer.

We are a small, intimate church family who love the Lord and love people.  Because of our small number, we have only been able to raise about $2000 a month on average leaving us with a $2000 per month shortfall.  Therefore, we are asking for help from those of you who want to see the Kingdome of God be advanced in our culture and help to bring hurting folks in our community to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.  Unless we are able to raise additional funds to cover our expenses, we will be forced to close our doors by next month.
