Hi, everyone! Meet Joe Swanson. A very cute, sweet, loving Beagle puppy. Barely 1 year old and rescued from the Riverside City/County Shelter, Joe was limping badly and wouldn't even consider putting his poor little foot to the ground. He was basically walking on 3 legs while his 4th leg seemed to just be along for the ride. No muscle tone left and unable to bear weight on the leg he was overlooked at the shelter and desperately in need of help despite being so cute and friendly.

When we picked him up, the rescue coordinator brought him into the room and we all knew this was a real rescue situation. Joe Swanson would need extensive testing to see if his leg could be saved, and a patient foster family to care for him in the extra time that it would take for him to heal.

He is full of spunk and life, enjoys playing with the other dogs, and if you didn't know better you wouldn't even notice he was disabled. He still runs and plays very much like any 1-year-old puppy would and he loves attention, kisses and playtime. But unfortunately without correcting his foot, Joe is subject to major life-long problems. Initial X-rays show that his injury is old, the bone has fused back incorrectly and is far too intense for corrective surgery.

Lucky for Joe he has landed in the loving arms of Priceless Pet Rescue and we're willing to do whatever it takes to get this little man happy and healthy and into a forever home.
