Little Angels Rescue BG is a non-profit animal rescue run solely by volunteers, rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming stray and abandoned dogs. We get no funding help, and rely on donations from supporters to help rescue and look after the dogs in our care.

A few days ago, one of our volunteers came across this tiny little terrier mix, whom she called Pixie. She was completely emaciated and suffering from a dreadful neck injury from spending her life tied up with string. She was immediately rushed to the vet, where he spent several hours removing the string from her flesh, and the maggots that were swarming in the wounds. She was also covered in fleas, ticks and lice.

Pixie came round and was taken back to her foster home. But the vet confirmed she'd recently given birth. If the pups were still alive then they wouldn't be for long if they were without their mother.

So the next day she was taken back to where she was found, and immediately guided her rescuer to her pups. There were four: three boys and one girl, and all were well. They were also recused and now Pixie and her puppies are being fostered together.

Pixie already has a place to go to in the UK with one of our rehoming partner organsiations, and will be on the transport at the end of December. But she will need continued care until that time to help heal her wounds and gain weight, so she'll be ready to leave for a home of her own.

We need donations to cover Pixie's medical bill, her continued care, and transport to her new life in the UK. As well as the costs of her spay operation, vaccinations and passport allowing her to travel.

Pixie, after a truly awful start to her life, has the chance of living in a loving forever home of her own, and to put the past behind her. We so want to give her that chance, but can only do so with YOUR help.
