Beautiful little Daria's family dumped her at a southern kill shelter 6 months ago, and she had a baby last week in the shelter, but all her other puppies died! Help us get them into rescue and receive the vet care they both so desperately need!

Beautiful little Daria (formerly known as Smiley at the shelter), a gorgeous, young black lab girl, was surrendered by her family to a high kill shelter in June, 2013.  Daria has defeated the odds by somehow staying alive this long!  She has been overlooked probably because she is black (black dogs are overlooked 90% of the time in shelters).  We have no idea how, but she must have been kenneled with an intact male, because somehow she managed to get pregnant while in the shelter!  It seems know one realized she was pregnant, and last week she delivered a single puppy outside in the cold whose life is also now in grave danger.  Daria has been attacked by a spider, resulting in a horrific infection while she was pregnant as well.  And somehow, Daria must have a guardian angel, because she was not euthanized!  When her story reached us today, we knew we could not leave this little girl to die in a shelter when she has already survived so much and beaten the odds many times over!  Daria and her little white puppy need to come to our rescue, but we need help with their vetting, transport, and overall expenses.  Once the baby is weaned, Daria will be spayed and fully vetted and so will her puppy.  We also need funds to help cover their basic veterinary expenses.  But we need to act quickly if we want to help her and her baby survive!  Please consider donating whatever you can, even if it means going without your Starbucks this week!  Every dollar helps and everything will go directly toward Daria and her baby!  MJ's Animal Sanctuary, Inc. is a non-profit 501-c-3 rescue, so your donation is also tax deductible!  Just in time for the year-end tax deductions!  If you are unable to donate even a little, please help us by sharing this fundrazr far and wide so we can get this little family to safety before the holidays!
