Our mission is to guide adoptees in the biological family search and/or reunion process during the pre-search, active search, and post-search, with emotional support/accompaniment.

Our vision is to guide adoptees to remember who we are by reclaiming aspects of our identity and culture that have been lost by rediscovering our personal power to reshape our own adoption narrative.

How you can help us this Giving Tuesday

Healing Puentes hopes to raise $2,000 to support our mission and activities! With your support, we will be able to expand our reach to help adoptees in our community become closer to their most authentic selves as we reconnect with our roots and identities. If our mission resonates with you, support our cause by sharing this campaign with family, friends, and on social media. We are grateful for any treasures and/or support you are able to give. 

A donation of $150 would support  two month's worth of utilities for a meeting and event space for Healing Puentes to support our core activities; search & reunion services, cedula and passport services, First Mothers' Group, Bogota adoptee Meet-Up, and the montly Adoptee Support Group, all of which could be strengthened and made even MORE impactful with the help of a physical safe space for our Executive Director, adoptee community, and our Colombian families. Your generous donation would also help us procure furniture, decor, and office supplies for a future physical space next year!

A donation of $75 will support participants of our First Mother's group with transportation costs, rental fees, and materials for workshops and activities. This group was created in 2021 after locating first mothers and seeing the importance of building a community around these women. It is a safe and confidential space where our first mothers are able to share their stories and experiences with each other!

A donation of $50 will help with a travel scholarship for our 2026 Bogota Meet-Up. This scholarship is reserved for an adult adoptee who has been unable to travel to their birth country. Your donation will help to fund airfare. During these trips many decide to obtain their cedula or passport for the first time :)

A general operations donation of any amount supports monthly peer support group facilitation, website maintenance, Zoom access, and social media growth.   Just $20 can help support the time and energy needed to support our nonprofit!
