❓ What is STEMTECH ’25?
STEMTECH ’25 is a series of youth-first, community-powered STEM events happening throughout July, August, and early September 2025 across the GTA. Each event is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence in Black youth by giving them hands-on access to the technologies shaping the future—like AI, automation, drone tech, and robotics.
It’s not just a program.
It’s a movement for equity and excellence in STEM.

🧠 Who’s behind STEMTECH ’25?
STEMTECH ’25 is powered by Braintech Robotics STEM Learning Centre (BTR), a Black-led nonprofit that builds equity-focused pathways into tech for youth. Founded by Patrick Monize, BTR is reshaping how Black youth in the GTA connect with science, engineering, and the digital economy.
🧒🏾 Who can attend STEMTECH events?
Youth aged 12–18 (especially those from Black and equity-seeking communities) are encouraged to attend. Each event will feature unique themes and topics but will follow a consistent format of learning, mentorship, and creative exploration.
📆 When and where will STEMTECH events happen?
Events will run throughout July, August, and early September 2025 at various community centers, schools, and innovation hubs across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). We’ll post the full schedule and locations in the Updates tab on this page.
