COVID-19 CAMPAIGN FOR THE BAHAMAS HUMANE SOCIETY - a NO KILL SHELTER

We have a PAW-SOME donor who will  match the first $25,000  of the monies raised during this campaign!

AND

Thanks to  Friends of the Bahamas Humane Society  Inc. *, a public Charity incorporated in Florida to support  the Bahamas Humane Society (‘BHS’),  donations by US citizens will be tax deductible!
The BHS needs your support because it is almost entirely reliant on donations and has been significantly impacted firstly by Hurricane Dorian, and now the COVID-19 pandemic.

PotCats
BHS income has been massively reduced - with fundraisers cancelled , the thrift shop closed for several months and limited activity in its veterinary practice.

Not only is the BHS shelter at capacity, there are thousands of dogs and cats currently on the streets in need of food and medical assistance and the BHS is operating a food bank for them. An ongoing spay and neuter program is in place but this has been difficult of late due to the current island lock-down and funding constraints.

This situation, coupled with a recent puppy and kitten boom, dozens of weekly surrenders and travel restrictions for overseas adopters, has left the BHS stretched to its limits.

Currently the BHS is taking care of over 250 dogs/puppies, 200 cats/ kittens as well as providing food and medical supplies for dozens of animals in foster care.
Its monthly operating costs are approx. US$100,000

Please help the BHS relieve the suffering of so many animals in The Bahamas. Any donation, large or small, is incredibly helpful!

If you would like to help the BHS you can donate direct to the BHS or to Friends of The Bahamas Humane Society. You can donate here, or by using the links on our social media pages...

On behalf of all the animals your donation helps …  Thank you!!
