Hello Save Bowling In Kenai fans!!
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Charlie (short for Charlotte) Yamada. I am a life long (45 yr) Kenai resident. I have run a daycare business here in Kenai for 20 years. My father, Richard McGrady worked for and retired from the Kenai Fire Dept, then he worked at Beacon for close to 18 years before losing a battle with cancer. My mom, Jenni McGrady has been a quilting business owner for 23 years. I am married to Glenn Yamada, from Honolulu, Hawaii. And we have 2 grown sons, Mason, 22, currently studying Business Management at Lincoln Memorial University in TN and Marcus ,19, who just graduated high school and is unsure of what he will be doing in the fall. We are a family who loves to bowl, recreate and are all quite interested in business.
Together, our tiny group has worked hard and diligently to purchase the existing bowling alley property from the City of Kenai. Currently, we are trying to secure our construction loan, the final portion of loans needed to get us operational. However, it is a large project and we need to show the bank a couple of things. First, that the community in fact supports this opportunity, and also we need to come up with a bit more funds to secure said loan. So, any and all monies we can raise will go towards securing the construction loan or startup costs. If we cannot raise all the funds needed, your donations will be returned in a timely manner. We need to raise $30,000.00-$50,000.00. The bank is ready to work with us and they believe in our project. They are glad to see us get closer to starting renovations!
In asking for donations, I would much prefer to have something to give in return. So for every $50 donation a person makes, I will provide a punch card for open bowling to be used when we open up. It will have more than a $50.00 value. I would like to personally ask you-if you support this project in the slightest, would you please consider donating to this fundraiser? Every little bit adds up and counts towards something much bigger! It is no secret that I have been battling this Save Bowling War for a long time, and now we are in the 10th frame and need 3 strikes to win the series! Will you please help us?
