Team Mason hasn't added a story.
In 2006 Patty and I were blessed with Mason who at a young age received an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis. At that moment, TEAM MASON was born! Since that time, TEAM MASON has been doing everything we can to not only make Mason’s life better, but that of the entire ASD community. This includes being active members of the Autism Support & Resource Center (ASRC) where Patty is the Treasurer and I am the Chairperson.
ASRC is a 501(c)3 organization that does not receive any state or federal funding and relies solely on fundraising initiatives to run the organization and advance programs which serve Genesee County and neighboring communities. ASRC provides social, recreational and life skill experiences to those living with autism across the lifespan. TEAM MASON has been lucky enough to not only find a place where Mason is “one of the boys”, but, also give Patty and I tools to advocate for our son.
The money raised from your sponsorship goes directly to the ASRC where it is used to provide opportunities for families on the “spectrum” to prepare their loved ones to have the absolute most fulfilling and rewarding life possible. The ASRC is the only type of organization in our county to offer programs specifically tailored to the needs of the ASD population.
I'm asking friends and family to considerer supporting TEAM MASON in the 13th Annual Ceremonial Walk for Autism....which has evolved to now include a competitive 5K run/walk! As you consider a donation, please visit www.geneseeautism.org to see more details and if our programs and classes may help your TEAM. Also, if you are a competitive runner/walker, you can also register for the 5K at https://runsignup.com/Race/MI/GrandBlanc/SeeTheAbleNotTheLabel5k
Thank you for joining us for Autism Support and Resource Center (ASRC)’s 13th annual Family Fun Day! This year’s celebration will include our traditional 1/4 mile ceremonial walk as well as our first timed 5k run/walk presented by Italia Gardens! ASRC is a non-profit 501(c)3 founded in 2005 providing social, recreational and life skill opportunities for individuals living with autism across the lifespan. Proceeds from this “fun-raiser” will help advance our programming mission. We are proud to serve individuals with autism and their families from Genesee County and beyond!
Our Family Fun Day will be held on the scenic grounds of Creasey Bicentennial Park in Grand Blanc and features the free ceremonial walk for families affected by autism as well as bounce houses, concessions, vendors, lucky bucket raffles and lots of family fun from 10:00am-2:00pm
The ceremonial walk will be the kickoff of this spectacular day and gives participants a great opportunity to create a team of supporters to walk and fundraise alongside you. Please considering starting a team and invite your friends and family! Donations will go to ASRC to continue making a a positive impact on local families. We look forward to celebrating with our ASRC families and friends as well as the community at large!
