Wrapunzel Foundation Launch Party!

We’re celebrating something BIG, and we want you to be a part of it! We’re extremely excited to announce the launch of the Wrapunzel Foundation – a fully-registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping women in need find their inner strength and beauty through the art of head-wrapping. Every donation to this organization is fully tax-deductible, and will go toward a multitude of tremendously impactful projects (see Where Does My Donation Go?, below, for a sneak peek!)
So what’s “Wrapunzel” and who exactly are we helping?
From humble beginnings as a blog in 2012, Wrapunzel quickly grew into a bustling online community of followers so large and energetic that it became a major social movement. Women from all over the world were wrapping their heads in honor of dozens of different religious traditions, cultural practices, fashion statements, or in celebration of strength in the face of illness. Their enthusiasm and support for each other drew them together despite many differences in background, and Wrapunzel continued to grow - from hundreds of followers to thousands, to tens of thousands. With this growth, a need arose for a central place to find the best scarves and supplies for headwrapping – and a store, wrapunzel.com, was born in 2013.
Since then, Wrapunzel has blossomed even more – but we’re not done growing yet. Our dream has always been to spread the joy of beautiful headwrapping to every woman who needs it, and now it’s time to realize that dream. As we’ve grown, we’ve met a tremendous number of women fighting cancer, other difficult medical circumstances, and dire financial needs. A store is not enough. A blog is not enough. We needed something BIG. And so the Wrapunzel Foundation has been born - and will be uplifting women in need all over the world! This is where you come in!
Where does my donation go?
Every donation is a spark – and a spark is all we need to start a huge fire! Each act of kindness that helps a struggling woman to hold her head high with integrity will repay itself exponentially as the Wrapunzel Foundation grows. Your donation will help us launch projects like (but not limited to):
Joy Kits: Every woman facing a challenge deserves a little joy in the mail. We dream of sending head-wrapping kits and skin soothing lotion free of charge to women of demonstrated need, and making sure they have access to tutorials so they can enjoy building new wrapping skills. A donation of $36 can cover TWO Joy Kits.
Wrapunzel Foundation Spa: A service that sends expert Wrapunzel wrappers to teach free classes to women at cancer treatment centers in the US and abroad. A donation of $180 can cover a WF Spa event for up to 10 women.
Every single dollar will help us with getting the word out, putting together beautiful headwraps for the women we serve, and making sure they reach those who need them. We are starting like all the great successes in the world—with nothing more than inspiration and perspiration! With your generosity and strength helping us, we know this will go far.
