A group of trained Child Restraint Systems Technicians (Car Seat Techs for short!) called Pembina Valley Car Seat Technicians is teaming up with the organization Build A Village in Altona, MB to raise funds to buy carseats for some of the new families coming to town.

Any day now, 5 refugee families from Syria will be arriving in Altona. They're coming to a new country with a new climate, new rules, new laws, new customs, new people, new language... etc. It can all be very overwhelming! All of these families have at least 3 children in need of some sort of restraint in the vehicle - a booster seat or a harnessed car seat. 
These families are being faced with so many new, scary things that they deserve to know that their smallest, most vulnerable family members are safe and secure in their new hometown at all times. Help us raise the funds to get these kids the safe, secure car seats they deserve!

While $2200 may seem like a lot for car seats, we as technicians have determined the best seats for budget, fitting a wide variety of children (since we won't know how tall or heavy the children are until we see them!), and ease of installation and use. We need a total of 21 seats to fit all the children who are of "carseat age".
The carseats we need are all being purchased from Walmart (UPDATE: 12 of the seats we need have been donated so far by Dorel Juvenile Canada!). They are as follows:

- Two (2) Evenflo Titan65/SureRide seats - $129.97 each
- Nine (9) Harmony Defender 360 3-in-1 seats - $159.97 each
- Nine (9) Booster Seats -DONATED
