Eleven dogs pulled out of a bad situation by animal control, their owner's were not able to properly take care of this many and it must have got out of control. We are going to need all of your help!

These dogs seem to be for the most of them unsocialized from what was observed yesterday. We will be working with these dogs on a daily bases, the first dog you see in picture did come up and lick my hand and ran back. Most of them are interested and they will come around. What we need is foster homes and more foster homes!!!

Anyone that is up to the challenge that would like to even go to shelter and try to adopt one would be much appreciated. I know we have experienced dog people that have done this before and if your one of them that would like to give it a try, please do.

I will be posting these dogs about every day with better pictures and keep updating our progress. There are several younger dogs that look like some kind of terrier mixes and others that look like small shepherd with pointed ears. All are very cute! They are definitely going to need some hair cuts and baths, a couple of the older ones are going to need some vet attention as soon as we can get them to come closer to us.

These dogs are at the Maryville City Shelter on 426 Home Avenue, open 1-6pm weekdays and 10-1pm Saturdays. If interested to knowing more about them or about fostering call Diane at 865 748-3015. Hope to get better photos every day but they are afraid to come out for their picture for now and obviously this is not all eleven of them. We have 20 days to work on finding homes for all 11 of these very deserving lives and they need a much better life than what was handed to them. This is the best thing that could have happened to them but we need lots of bodies to make it work! So please share and let's find them homes!
