We are an end-of-life sanctuary for senior and special needs animals that have nowhere else to go. We provide a special place to be loved, cherished, and receive proper medical care for the rest of their days.
Senior animals need regular veterinary care to keep them healthy as they age. Oftentimes when animals come into our care, they have medical conditions that went ignored or unnoticed by their previous owners. With many years of important veterinary care skipped, it definitely adds up to often unfortunately poor overall health. And it can take us awhile to correct or care for some of the problems that come up.
We have a few sweet SAINTS that will be having some costly veterinary care coming up:
Our dear Teaky leaky wet pants. This sweet sweet girl has ectopic
ureters which cause her to leak urine. We are hoping to be able to
send Teak for corrective surgery which will make her more adoptable to
a super lucky home!!! She is sweet as pie and loves squeaky toys.
Colby is a lovely 8 year old Shih Tzu who came to us in desperate
need of bladder surgery to remove a number of bladder stones. Once he
is fully recovered from his surgery he still has to undergo a major
dental to help with his teeth.
Summer is one of our senior goats.
She was a stray found walking on her knees in Abbotsford picked up by animal control She has severe arthritis in her front legs. We have started her on a medication to help manage her discomfort from the arthritis. We are hoping it will help her continue being the happy sweet goat she is with her all her goat friends at saints.
The work that we do is costly in terms of dollars. It is a bargain, in terms of value.
