Mr. Guidry died Sunday, January 25, 2015 in a local care facility. Michael was the second son born to the union of Calvin and Lauraline Orebo Guidry in Lake Charles, LA, on October 28, 1955. He attended Marion High School. "Mickey T" or "World" as he was known to many was a man after God's own heart. This revealed itself in the selfless way he gave his time and talents to all those who needed his help.
He was an avid gardener, you could find him always working in someone's yard planting and plucking. Mickey served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1975 to 1977 and was Honorably discharged, taking a post in the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve until 1981. During this time he earned a Rifle Marksman Badge and a Good Conduct Medal of Honor while serving. He was employed for many years with Frilot's Masonry as a bricklayer.
He leaves to cherish his memories one daughter: Christal (Daniel) Lemoine of Oberlin, LA; two sisters: Beverly Annette Guidry of Lake Charles, LA and Lisa G. Lewinski of Phonex, AZ; five brothers: James, Robert, Don, Calvin and Mark (Cassandra) Guidry all of Lake Charles, LA; his favorite aunt and friend: Ruby Guidry; sis-in-law: Theresa Abraham; six grandchildren: Isaiah, Kaiyah and Malerie Lemoine, Armond (Dre'), Niyah Francis and Kourtland Zambrano; two godchildren: Steven "Paran" Collins and Shondanika "Cheese" Guidry; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Mickey is preceded in death by his parents: Calvin and Lauraline Guidry; maternal and paternal grandparents; daughter: Kai Mikel Zambrano; brother: Bryan Carl Guidry
