My name is Derrick, and I run Maysynthel, a fashion and lifestyle business based in Malaysia. Our online store is already live at https://maysynthel.com .

We are raising funds for its next chapter: developing a curated marketplace where independent creators, emerging designers and small brands can present their work and reach customers around the world.

Our vision is to make discovering independent brands a more personal experience. Alongside their products, we want shoppers to discover the ideas, craftsmanship and stories that make each creator’s work distinctive.

For participating creators, we aim to provide practical help with their marketplace presence—from preparing product listings and brand profiles to introducing their work through content and advertising.

Our existing store is the starting point. Recruiting creators and developing the marketplace are the next stages this campaign will help fund.

What your contribution will help make possible

Funds raised will support four connected areas:

• Develop the marketplace. Improve product discovery, creator profiles, navigation and the shopping experience.
• Welcome independent creators. Find suitable creators and small brands, establish participation arrangements, and prepare their products and stories for the marketplace.
• Reach potential customers. Create promotional content and run focused advertising and outreach, particularly for audiences in the United States and Canada.
• Support essential operations. Cover the hosting, maintenance, customer support and coordination needed to develop and operate the marketplace.

This fundraiser supports Maysynthel as a commercial business. Our aim is to build a sustainable marketplace that creates opportunities for participating creators and brands.

How we will begin

We plan to develop the project in stages, guided by the funding available.

First, we will establish participation criteria and begin conversations with suitable independent creators and small brands.

Next, we will prepare the first participating creators’ profiles, product listings and stories, alongside the website improvements needed to present their work.

We will then introduce their products through focused promotional campaigns, review customer interest and purchasing activity, and use those findings to guide further development.

We will share genuine creator introductions once participation is confirmed and we have permission to tell their stories. Our aim is to create opportunities for discovery and sales, while recognising that results cannot be guaranteed.

If we raise less than the full goal, we will prioritise the work we can deliver with the funds available and explain any changes to the project’s scope.
