Dear Friends of the Berkshires and Beyond,
Heart & Soil Collective is a Berkshire County nonprofit that feeds people, supports small farms, and connects the community through agriculture. Since 2021 following our mission of connecting people to the land where their food grows we have paid farmers $45,500, delivered 3,529 bags of free veggies and 600 gallons of soup directly to seniors and families. In addition, we’ve built 3 community gardens and continue to add more. The need for access to fresh food is growing across the Berkshires, and so are we!
More Specifically, our Organization Provides:
* Community Produce and Soup Programs that serve seniors and those in need across Berkshire County with free, locally grown food delivered right to their door.
*Support to local farms through purchase of produce that is used in our distribution. We pay our partner farmers full price because we believe farmers need to be paid!
*Collaborative initiatives with community partners including educational institutions, underserved populations, and health care services through delivery of local food and offering of hands-on experiences such as cooking classes and building sustainable gardens that support food insecurity needs.
