🚴 Cycling for a cause, one kilometer at a time: Florence to Zagreb
Across the world, countless children go to school without even the basics: no notebooks to write in, no pens to practice with, no textbooks to learn from.
This October, our team of five cyclists will ride 723 km (450 miles) from Florence, Italy to Zagreb, Croatia with one goal:
to raise funds and gather essential educational supplies, including stationery and textbooks, to support orphanages and schools in need.
🏫 Meet the School
Your donation will go directly to Dr. Kadi A. Sesay Government Girls Secondary School, in Port Loko, Sierra Leone. This all-girls school has 501 students being taught by 25 teachers.
This
school is special: launched in 2020 as Sierra Leone’s first modern
girls’ secondary institution in that region, it includes facilities
like labs, a resource center, and aims to boost girls’ education in
Northern Sierra Leone.
Despite these advances, the school still faces challenges in acquiring basic supplies for every student. That’s where our ride and your generosity come in.
💚 Our Quest
We have the passion, the energy, and the route mapped out, but without your support, the journey and its impact stop short. Logistics like a support vehicle, medical kits, and gear are necessary to get us safely across the finish line.
More importantly, we can’t fill classrooms with supplies unless people like you believe in this mission.
