After a six-year silence, Thunder in the Valley roars back to life for the first time since 2018! This summer, join us on the Somass Lands Site in the heart of Port Alberni for an electrifying drag racing revival—and be part of something even bigger.

This event is more than just speed and spectacle. It’s a fundraiser to fuel the future of motorsport in the Alberni Valley. The AVDRA is on track to build a permanent racing and multiplex facility that will serve the region for generations. But we need your help to get there.

August 8–10, 2025 – A special AVDRA event is in the works. This event will act as a major fundraiser towards constructing our permanent facillity. We will have drag racing, a burnout competition, a car show, and much more! The event will take place at the City of Port Alberni's Somass Lands Site, in the heart of Port Alberni.
