Rayman's Run
Rayman's Run started several years ago when Dr. Rayman, a Toronto dentist and avid runner, made a goal to encourage his students to get into running while also raising money for a great cause. Dr. Richard Rayman has been running every single day for an impressive 44 years and 10 months without missing a single day. Over his long-running career, he's completed numerous marathons, with 10 of them being indoor races, and the rest outdoors. Though he has qualified many times, Rayman has never participated in the Boston Marathon, opting instead to run the New York City Marathon twice. His personal best marathon time stands at an impressive two hours and 47 minutes, achieved during his competitive years. Over the years, Rayman's Run has raised money for many incredible organizations including Make-A-Wish, CAMH and Princess Margaret Hospital. The proceeds of our fundraiser will be going towards Humber River Hospital. Humber River Hospital (HRH) in Toronto is North America's first fully digital hospital, offering cutting-edge healthcare through advanced technologies like electronic medical records, robotic systems, and automated services. Opened in 2015, it focuses on patient-centered care with private rooms, sustainable practices, and specialized services, including emergency care, cancer treatment, mental health programs, and maternity services. As a major healthcare provider in the city's northwest, HRH plays a crucial role in community outreach, education, and research, while continuing to expand and innovate to meet the needs of its diverse population. Join us this year in celebrating Dr. Rayman’s 408th marathon, which he will be running on October 20th 2024 and participate in our 8km fundraiser run along the waterfront and our exclusive afterparty! |  |

dentxfit is an organization at the University of Toronto’s faculty of dentistry that aims to build a community within the dental space that connects dentists and dental students alike through wellness initiatives. Building a strong community can help students receive much-needed emotional support and enhance a sense of belonging. dentxfit's goal is to expose students to different modalities that encompass holistic wellness, while also raising awareness about the impact that fitness and exercise can have on mental wellbeing.
