Q&A With Film Director Shamim Sarif, Producer Hanan Kattan and Actor Sheetal Sheth from ‘I Can’t Think Straight’ Shamim Sarif is a British novelist and filmmaker of South Asian and South African heritage.

It often draws upon her own personal experience with cross cultural, non-heterosexual love.

I Can’t Think Straight is a 2008 novel by Shamim Sarif of which has been successfully turned into an award-winning movie bearing the same title. Sheetal Sheth is the lead actor in Shamim’s film, I Can’t Think Straight and The World Unseen.

The movie was produced by Hanan Kattan, Shamim’s longtime partner and successful entrepreneur.
