Wall Street banks are funding the climate crisis.
Since the Paris Agreement, six US banks have loaned $1.2 trillion to
the fossil fuel industry.
But here's the thing: they would rather nobody knew
that. So they greenwash their business and tell us lies to
make us think they're taking the climate crisis seriously.
We need to help people see the truth about Wall Street's role
in the climate crisis. And we're going to do that with art.
They say that an image is worth 1,000 words. So we're going to
put 30,000 #DefundClimateChaos images up all over the country,
especially near and around banks bankrolling the climate chaos.
But to make this work, we need you. We need you to
get with your friends & help us put up the art where people will
see it.
If you're in a position to do so, we also need you to
donate. It costs a lot to produce, design, and print
30,000 newspapers, offer some compensation to the artists, and ship
them all around North America.
Your donation helps us pay for all of this. We offer a sliding
scale using the below measures. (Though you can donate an amount not
listed here, too!):
- $25: If you can pay $25 per art work that you order, you will be covering your own costs! (For this, you will receive two sets of the 6 different designs – 12 street art posters in)
- $50: If you can pay $50, you will be covering your own costs plus helping to cover the time of the organizers who are shipping you the art!
- $100: If you can pay $100, you will be covering the costs of shipping art to four other activists around the country!
- $1000: If you can pay $1000, you will be helping to cover all the costs to create, print and ship 1000 papers, that will be visible to tens of thousands or more people.
