SNPR Lady Liberty, better known as Tia, came to us just after Thanksgiving. 

Tia is having some kind of neurological episode we have not been able to get diagnosed fully.  Because of how they present, duration, and lack of response to anticunvulcant medications, seizures have been ruled out now by our neuro vet.  We know this is some kind of episodic neurological condition, but it isn't seizures. 

We desperately need help raising the funds to cover her quickly mounting vet bills.  She has an MRI scheduled for Thursday, January 5th to see if that can help us pinpoint exactly what is going on.  The expected cost for this could be anywhere from about $1300 to $2000 depending on what they see and if contrasts and things will be needed to get better views.  We cannot know this until they are actually doing the MRI. 

Even after the MRI, we know she will need treatment of some kind, and if we don't get the answers we need on the MRI, the only option we have left is to take her to the UC Davis vet school in Sacramento where they have the tools and knowledge to run a more detailed workup then is available here in Utah.  The neuro vet we are seeing with her is the best there is, if he cannot figure it out, then we aren't going to get answers without taking her to the vet school. 

We are trying to reach a goal of $10,000 at this time, and are trying to raise $2,000 of that by Thursday, January 5th to cover the high end of her MRI estimate so we know we have all the funds needed to fully pay that bill, as we are fully expecting to need to take her to UC Davis for a more involved workup.  We would love to be pleasently surprised and if we don't end up needing to spend as much as we are expecting, we will contact donors and giving them an option of a refund of their donation, or the money going into an account to help future cases that need help. 

If we end up going to UC Davis we know we could easily pass even the $10,000 mark, but we feel like that is a safe level to start this at.  This is a BABY, Tia is only 16 weeks old right now.  She deserves a full and healthy life, and we are doing our very best to insure she gests it!!!!
