Reptar is hurt and he needs help! Prior to entering the Bastrop
County Animal Shelter as a stray, Reptar had been injured, so he was
in extreme pain and petrified in the shelter environment. The shelter
was full and due to his injury, he was at risk of being euthanized. We
could not stand seeing him on the shelter floor suffering, so last
week Bastrop Animal Rescue found a foster and secured his safety.
An initial exam was done and x-rays were taken prior to us
rescuing him and it was determined then that he had a torn ligament
and possibly a couple of broken toes. The surgery to repair the
ligament is very expensive, but it will be done by one of the best
surgeons in Central Texas - Dr. Lewis at Veterinary Surgical Solutions
in Austin.
On top of his leg injury, Reptar's teeth are in TERRIBLE
condition and he needs a complete dental with some teeth extractions.
He is currently resting in a foster home on pain medication, but we
now need to raise funds to cover the cost of his ligament repair
surgery and dental. Any donation, big or small, to help Reptar is
