Every year Women, children and those who love them come together to rise up against violence against women. On the 14th February in Norwich, Norfolk. Previous years we have gone into schools to teach them to drum or dance and ran training classes for drum or dance for everyone. We also have a big event at the The Forum in Norwich. We need to cover basic costs like insurance, printing of posters, programmes, advertizing, petrol costs for teachers etc. Norwich Rising is a group of people who come together to join the rest of the people round the world who come together. The impact of the event has such an over whelming postive change around Norfolk that is why we do it. 14th February is V-Day – a global day of action to demand an end to violence against women. A billion women, and those who love them, will strike and rise for justice. Why?
