What is HAADD?
HAADD, which stands for Helping Adults with Autism and Developmental Differences, is a non-profit organization providing bursaries and grants for innovative initiatives to help improve the quality of life for adults on the autism spectrum in the Greater Toronto Area.
What do we do?
We fund bursaries and grants to give to individuals who express a unique need for non-mainstream supports to help them realize their goals and dreams. We fund where others do not.
Why support HAADD?
The government tends to fund only formal services, such as speech therapy, support workers, and respite care. These services provide the bare minimum that adults with developmental differences need to function. But formal supports do not always cater to the goals and dreams of these individuals. HAADD is there to fill in that gap.
Each year, we give bursaries and grants to projects that improve the lives of adults with autism and developmental differences. With your help, we can give more money more often and fund more projects. You may have a family member with autism, know someone at work who does, or a friend who has been touched by autism. If you do, you know the importance of making sure everyone can reach their maximum fulfillment in life.
