Bonnie was rescued from the back yard of a deceased man, in the Northend of Flint, Michigan. She had been out there for almost 6 months and had a litter of four week old puppies stolen out from under her by dog flippers.  She is a Sharpei/English Setter mix.

Her teats became engorged and when we found her, Mastitus had caused a baseball sized lump in one teat. Two days later, she had a golf-ball sized blowout (big hole). We got her in to the Vet immediately. She is being cared for, which includes daily irrigation, packing with sugar and bandage changes.

Bonnie is heart worm positive and requires the treatment and care necessitated by that. She cannot be spayed until that treatment is completed.

We are a small 501c3 rescue. Bonnies mate found in the yard with her is also HW positive and needs to be neutered. This is a large financial burden for us.

Your assistance, in any amount, is greatly appreciated. We will be diligent in our care of Bonnie and will have updates available on our FB page.
